read this in conjunction with the section “9.2. Specifications and Connections of Monitor Panel MP-011” of the FS-971

Series Installation Manual (Applied Installation).

INSTALLATION MANUAL SUPPLEMENT

Notes

• Carry out the following procedures before mounting the MP-011 unit in an equipment rack.

• When the unit is shipped from the factory, a white jumper wire connector is installed, presetting the voltage to 100 V line.

To prevent a fire or electric shock, never open nor remove the unit

case as there are high voltage components inside the unit. Refer all

servicing to qualified service personnel.

2-1. Depending on the setting voltage, select

a jumper wire connector with the correct

corresponding wire color (supplied with

the MP-011). The jumper wires are color-

coded according to setting voltage, as

shown in the table at right:

Depending on time of production, the MP-011 Monitor Panel differs in speaker line voltage setting methods. There are 2

different methods: one using a simple slide switch, and the other using an internal jumper wire connector.

2-2. Replace the preinstalled SW1 jumper connector on the printed circuit board.

To remove the jumper connector, pull it out while pressing on the connector lock (releasing the lock).

Step 3. Replace the top panel.

If the rear panel of the MP-011 has a speaker line voltage

selector switch located at the left, set this switch to the voltage

corresponding to the actual speaker line voltage.

Note

The selector switch is factory-preset to the “100V” position.

2. Voltage Switching Using the Internal Connector

If no voltage selector switch is provided on the MP-011’s rear panel, use the unit’s internal connector to switch the voltage

by replacing the jumper connector piece. When replacing, use one of the 2 jumper connector pieces supplied with the MP-

011 Monitor Panel.

Step 1. Remove the 7 mounting screws holding the top panel to detach the panel.

Step 2. Replace the preinstalled jumper connector to change the voltage.
